From the USS Forrestal to the rooftops of Chattanooga.
Bill Goodpaster served as a U.S. Navy quartermaster aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59) from 1986 to 1993, with deployments across the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf. The Navy taught him discipline, attention to detail, and what it means to take care of the people next to you.
In 2002, Bill and Natalie moved their growing family to Chattanooga to start something that could outlast them. He went door-to-door with a paint can. She handled the phones from the kitchen table.
Twenty-plus years later, the company has grown to five crews and added roofing and gutter work to the lineup — but Bill still picks up the phone and Natalie still runs the office. Their kids — Anna, Jonathan, Jackson, Matthew and Robert — work alongside them every single day.
